I'm doing a history day project and need to know some that have helped you through a major historical event like a war or a celebration like first walk on the moon. If you could write the event, the song, how it impacted you, and your date of birth (we need to know what generations have been effected the most by what). We reallly want to know some specific stories and how they really had an impact on you. The farther back in history the better, ask your parents and grand parents too! Thanks for all the help!

Amazing Grace. it was written by John Newton ,1725-1807 he was a slave trader %26 run a ship . he later got religious%26 quit . he felt bad about what he had done %26 wrote the words for the song. it was sung a lot during the Civil War,and is yet to day my favorite gospel song.
