only had mine since jan and its rusting already. it is a travesty. and please dont slag off my bike just cos you can afford a triumph or whatever cos i dont care. although. if you have a triumph go ahead and tell me about that too. or if you have a norton. mmmm. bike talk. yum.

get some good chrome cleaner then but a sealant/wax on the chrome once you get the rust specs off. then coat it with protectant/sealant. that will help it coming back as fast. where is it rusting and how bad?
no silicone, a good chrome polish will have a coat of protectant that stays on the chrome. that will help coat it ti keep water from creating rust. also i always use like honda cleaner or blackhawk cleaner instead of washing tyhe bike with water. i had an 85 gn250 and i didnt really have any rust. a little specs on exhuast that was it. how old is it? where do you live, by a coastal waters? etc.
